The Yashica is dead, long live the Yashica!

The Yashica FX-2 I got a couple months back has died. The film advance lever is jammed. I found a place that can repair it, but it’s not a priority at the moment, but it will get fixed eventually. It’s unfortunate that I was only able to shoot 1 roll on it, but it’s time will come.

In the mean time…

I found this Yashica TL Electro X at an antique mall in Walnut Ridge, AR. Everything seems to be in good working condition so far. I had to order a battery for it, so I can’t fully test it yet, but it’s looking good.

This specific camera was made in December 1972, so it’s a few years older than the FX-2. Once I make sure it all works, I’ll be hunting down some new lenses for it. It will be a few weeks until I can post the pics I take with it, hopefully it will be worth the wait.
